Surprise in my mailbox and rummage sale finds

This little surprise showed up in my mailbox this week! Isn't she cute?  My friend Kim of Birds Eye View on Etsy makes these darling tags. She surprises her creative friends now and again with a "happy" in our mailbox. This is one of her fall "tag in a bag" designs.  Guess what?  There was a little surprise inside!
Instead of a message, Kim put this picture inside! I love it! I'd like to tell you that is our staircase but it's not. We took this on a recent trip to a bed and breakfast that we love in Amelia Island called The Williams House. Thanks, Kim. I love it and she is sitting in a flower frog on display.
Scored this cute little printer's tray at a local church rummage sale this weekend. The price was right! I plan to alter it very soon and will share some interesting ideas I have for this on my blog.
This was a fun find for a Florida girl. I love cigar boxes, and the husband and his friends enjoy a cigar on the back porch just about every weekend. This one is special because it is from a Tampa cigar company. Tampa and more specifically Ybor City were a cigar capital many years ago.  It is hard to find memorabilia though from local companies.
Of course, I can't pass up dictionaries and an atlas for $1 a piece! This wreath making girl is always in need! The worn and tattered covers were very appealing too. You'll see those in a future project.
I love the pattern on this Reader's Digest book. I'm always drawn to these. Maybe a journal is in my future?
And last but definitely not least a HUGE bag of vintage lace, napkins, table cloths, fabric...all stuffed into a plastic grocery bag for $15.  Everything is clean and just gorgeous. I stopped counting at 25 pieces and the bag was still half full. I was worried if I kept emptying the bag that the price might go up!

Looking for some great inspiration and fall projects? I'll be linking up to three great parties this weekend!  Debra at Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday is hosting a fall party. This is my first time joining Debra and her friends. Thanks for the invite!  I'm also excited to be linking again to Inspiration Friday at Southern in my Heart and Feathered Nest Friday at French Country Cottage.
On Tuesday, I'm linking to Nifty Thrifty Tuesday at Coastal Charm.  This new blogger is enjoying making friends and seeing all these great projects. Hope to see you all there!
