Great Day in the Country!

Our largest annual craft show in Oviedo is called Great Day in the Country.  Each fall we see more and more Etsy seller's added to the mix! This year my friend Kelley of Gongy and Squish aka G&S Supply Company had a booth.  This was Kel's first show but she handled it like a veteran and even earned an honorable mention from the judges. That is a big deal for such a large show and a first timer. I was so proud of her.  Above is top row:  Jodi, Kim, Kelley, me and Betsy. Bottom row: Sydney (Jodi's daughter) and Kara (my daughter). Checkout these photos from the booth and visit her shop above in the next week or so as she re-opens with inventory.

Don't you just love those assemblages? The snowman has a new home at my place. I love him!

I bought several of these spool photo holders too.

Kelley always makes the most whimsical mini-albums.
How do you like this for a business card holder? Isn't it sweet?
These are just a few shots from her booth. So creative! Her handmade cloche's sold very quickly too. We have a few favorite primitive dealers that we visit each year at this show. It is always a race to get to them. They usually have a handful of unique items. Although we got there when the show opened, I still missed out on this...
UGH!!! He had several crates converted to wagons. I bet I could make one?! We'll see. Here are a few of the purchases I did make though...

And some honorable mentions...

I loved this potter's table from an old sewing machine table...
Not bad for a small town craft show, huh? Always a fun day. I had to race home though to finish up a few things for our Handmade Holiday Open House at my place today.  I'll share pictures from this Etsy event soon!  Have a great week my friends.  I'm looking forward to posting a giveaway this week! I want to celebrate hitting 200 followers. You will not want to miss it. Thank you so much for your support. Stay tuned!

  3. What fun we had in Great Day in the Country, I always look forward to this every year!:) The first pic you posted of the bird spool that says... "be merry" is mine! Our friend Kelley is very talented and what I love so much about it is that she sculpted the bird herself!!! this little treasure is perched on top of an old tiny rusty vintage scale that I purchased from a local antique shop here in Oviedo! One of my very favorite things! ♥
