First, the dress...Paul and I attended the Amway Center Grand Opening Gala last night. There have been several special events recently to mark the opening of this new venue where Paul will be working. Last night was a black tie affair with music by the Boston Pops and later in the evening James Taylor. We decided to go at the last minute, so Paul rented a tux. I had to drag both kids to the mall Thursday night to find a dress. Found one at the first store we stopped! With the help of a few friends, I had all the accessories needed by the end of the night. But, when it came time to get dressed yesterday, I couldn't find my sassy black pumps that I had pulled out the other evening when I got home. They looked great with my dress but ten minutes until go time and no shoes?!
The drool...meet Zoey. Zoey likes treats, playing in the sprinklers and eating the heels off of black sassy pumps. She's so darn cute though that I couldn't get mad at her. So, I just wore my more conservative black pumps which turned out to be much, much more comfortable. Thanks, Zoey.
The design...while we were at the Gala, look what kind of cuteness was going in the hood! My neighborhood friends had a craft night (and watched our kids, love you guys). They made these darling paperback pumpkins! I've seen a variety of these in blog land. This is my favorite though! Thank you, Kel, Kim and Jodi for sharing this with me today. You know I'll have one made by tomorrow! This bugger is too darn cute not to drop everything and get started. Blog friends, I'll be sure to make a tutorial while I"m doing mine. So, stop back by this week for the scoop! Have a great week everyone. I'm linking up to The Girl Creative - Just something I whipped up party. Stop by and see all the great projects tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteYou two look beautiful! I was half expecting you to say you were chased by paparazzi because you look like movie stars :) So glad you had a wonderful time.
ReplyDeleteMarla you are too funny. For some reason the paparazzi were just not interested in a couple in a minivan. Go figure? lol Thanks to each of you for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteOh Vicki...how could anyone be mad at that sweet face of Zoey's. She could have chewed up a pair of my favorite crocs (haha) and I could never be mad at her!
