Hello, friends! How are you? I have all kinds of little projects on the table today. I've been working on some thank you's for generous friends who have surprised me this year with a little something in my mailbox. I'm finishing up and packaging up a few little treats and handmade items today.
I love making these little bud vases. This one is headed to a "primitive" friend along with some homemade cards for her to use throughout the year. So easy to make with vintage bottles OR find some in the $1 section at Michaels.
And here is how my little assemblage angels come together. I start out with a broken china plate and just start adding hardware and found objects. This one has a long way to go. I usually leave these on the project table and go back to it several times interchanging parts and trying new things. I do like the vintage black book cover for the background and her sweet face. She will get layers of paper and lace too on her china dress. It is always fun to make these. I'll keep you posted on the progress. I have a finished one to share with you too this week. So what's on your project table? I'd love to hear! xoxo
ps - If you still can't leave me a comment - please notify me by email - RustyRoosterblog@gmail.com I will keep trying new fixes if necessary. Thanks!

DeleteHello Vicki, Love that you don't mind getting inky fingers.
ReplyDeleteKeep smiling and creating
Oh, Vicki - you never cease to wow me....I'm really loving those little bud vases and those rooster tags. Very sweet!! And, every time I see one of your posts, I'm remembering those too cute little nests you do on spools. One of these days I'm gonna try. Really! My project table?? Well, I'm mostly doing hooking and punching these days - my hooking projects take forever, so they're on the "table" (frame) for a long, long, time. When I lose my inspiration there, I usually stick in a quick punch project....I'm feeling a 4th of July one coming on soon! :o) Always fun to see "what you're up to!" Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hugs,Dorthe
love the projects your working on! I actually completed one myself today I slightly embellished a vintage rug beater that I got from Deland and put old black and white pics of my Dad & Grandmother onto, it looks really cute, its hanging up in my dinning room! I also hit HT today and got a couple of things!! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE what you're doing with the book -- I have a stack of 'distressed' books sitting, looking forlorn, waiting for the next step . . . may have to copy your idea! Also struggling to come up with a kids' craft for a contest I'm in and finishing up some cards to send out to a friend . . . and that's just the tip of the iceberg . . . so many projects, so little time!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the wonderful items you are making.
ReplyDeleteSo much sentiment in these gifts~ xXx
Hi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, everything is gorgeous! And I can't believe I made a tag out of ticking with burlap this week--Oh girl, we think alike!! I hope you're doing great and have had a great weekend.
I was at an antique mall on Friday and thought of you because there was a man there who had the most gorgeous vintage roosters...They probably stood 3 feet high! I thought, "Vicki would LOVE these!"
XO
