Here is a beautiful page to share from one of my vintage dictionaries. I think this one is 1940's. I hope you like it. It would be beautiful framed for the house or used in your artwork.
I'm really in a Fall mood right now (despite our warm temps and rainy weekend). It is funny how Fall inspires me to create, decorate and even cook in certain ways. I find myself incorporating nature in my art. I"m drawn to Fall colors and decor which give the house a warmer look and feel. I have Fall candle scents burning, and we have used our crock pot a half dozen times in the past two weeks. How about you? Feeling Fall? Tell us what you like best about this season. We'd love to hear. Thanks for visiting. I appreciate your comments and follows so much.

Those are some of the best looking bugs I've ever seen... ;o) Thanks for sharing...Ahhh... What do I like best about fall?? Let's see....that's tough, as there isn't much about it I don't like ('cept the season that follows it....)....but I would have to say the fullness and richness....of the colors, the harvest, the season...there are no colors more vibrant or seasons where the temperatures feel as intense....a fall "coolness" is so fresh, and a warm fall day is as warming as any summer day could wish to be...everything is just "fuller...." I'm in my glory and definitely "feeling" it!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great week ahead....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Hi Vicki,
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful print-thank you for sharing with us!
What do I love about Fall? Well, here's a few...the leaves changing colors and the smell of Fall in the air. Fires in my fireplace, homemade soups, stews and breads, and decorating with nature. Oh, the list goes on and on.
Have a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Sonya

ReplyDeleteHi, Vicki,
ReplyDeleteThank you for the vintage print. I saw a cute idea for cut out butterflies that I have to remember where I saw it from! I'm from New England, too and I started to put out the fall stuff but the "Indian Summer" temps spooked me away! Maybe this week I'll be back in the mood.
Warm Regards,
Susan

That is a beautiful print! Those butterflies are incredible! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful print. I love everything about fall, the rich colors, the annual visit to the pumpkin patch, cool days and our annual bonfire with smores and hot dogs.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful print. Would make a very elegant art piece. Thanks for sharing. Ginger
ReplyDeleteThat image is beautiful Vicki. I couldn't display butterflies around here though. My oldest daughter would take it personally. She's afraid of them! She runs from them like some people run from bees. Don't tell her I told you though :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia

ReplyDeleteThanks you for the gorgeous print! I love the magic, the mood and the feel of Fall. I love the foods and the quiet stillness that arrives, when the air gets a chill. I love all the magic and mischief of Halloween. It all elevates my mood! For me it is like a second New Year, I have more bounce in my step and love walking when it is a bit cooler and baking :D
ReplyDeleteLove the print!! Great minds!! LOL

Thank you for the print. Very cute. I have started cooking more chili and soups. once the weather gets a little chilly I don't want to cook stuff on the grill anymore.
