I wanted to keep the embellishments neutral so that the picture remained the focal point. I was just adding texture. Vintage lace and mother of pearl buttons seemed perfect for this 1930's picture. Here's another shot that I love of her standing in the garden.
I used this wooden frame display just for these shots. I won't be using it for the actual party. I will have some fun photo holders for the other black and whites that will join the cabinet cards in the displays. I'll share those ideas with you as I decorate this week so stay tuned! I've been working on scanning old (fragile) prints and I love what you did...now if I only knew which relatives were in some of my photos I could honor them in a special frame.
